President & CEO
Mitch Patel founded Vision Hospitality Group, Inc. in 1997 with a mere $3,000 in his savings account. Under his leadership as President and CEO, Vision holds a growing portfolio of hotels affiliated with premium brands such as Hilton Worldwide and Marriott International, including the company's first boutique hotel, The Edwin.
Mitch has led Vision to be the recipient of many awards, as well as industry media recognition in the fields of development, community service, design, and achievement. Most recently, Vision received the Marriott International Developer of the Year Award, the Marriott International Spirit to Serve Award, the Developer of the Year Award for the Hampton Brand by Hilton Worldwide, and the Multi-Brand Developer of the Year Award by Hilton Worldwide.
Mitch serves on the Marriott International Franchise Advisory Council and the Hilton Worldwide Owner's Advisory Council. Maintaining his presence on boards of local organizations in Vision's hometown of Chattanooga, Mitch currently serves on the boards of the Benwood Foundation, River City Company, and the University of Chattanooga Foundation. He also serves as Vice Chair of the Convention and Visitor's Bureau and is an advocate for ending human trafficking in the hospitality industry.
Mitch holds a Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Tennessee.
A native of India, Ish earned his undergraduate degree in dairy science & technology at Sardar Patel University in 1969. He continued his education, earning a Master’s degree in Food Science and Technology from the University of California-Davis in 1972. He then completed his doctorate research and coursework for the same University. After graduation, Ish became a Quality Assurance Manager for a major food company in Stockton, CA in 1977. Ish entered the hotel industry in 1978 with the lease-purchase of an independent motel in Stockton, CA. In 1980, he moved to Cleveland, TN in pursuit of a franchised property, which he owned and managed for over 24 years. In 1985, he became one of the first developers of a Days Inn in Tennessee. Ish is a founding member of the Mid-South Indemnity Association, which eventually led to the start of the Asian American Hotel Owners Association. He is also the founder and inaugural president of the Indian Cultural Association of East Tennessee. As Vision’s Chairman, Ish remains active in the local civic community as a member of the local Rotary Club for nearly 30 years.
Executive Vice President
As Executive Vice President, Aman oversees all hotel operations, and focuses on accounting and IT functions for the company. He devises and implements training programs to develop and maintain Company associates and “best practices.” At the corporate level, Aman is responsible for accounting and internal control design and implementation, cash management, and market planning and segmentation. He lends his expertise to property level processes such as hotel efficiency, guest satisfaction tracking, data processing coordination and labor controls. In addition to his responsibilities, he is also an active participant in assuring Vision’s pre-opening standards are achieved and new construction information is organizationally disseminated.
Before joining Vision in 2005, Aman worked for ZMC Hotels as a General Manager of a Hampton Inn. At ZMC, he quickly proved to be capable of expanded responsibility and was appointed to manage all three of the ZMC-owned Hampton Inn’s in Atlanta.
Aman attended Vanderbilt University, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering and graduated with high honors.
Senior Vice President of Operations
Reggie is responsible for overseeing and directing all hotel operations for Vision’s portfolio. His duties include monitoring all aspects of daily operations, including revenue, marketing, expense management, risk management, maintenance and human resources.
Reggie’s 32-year career began as a night auditor while attending Concord University; at the time, he was just looking for employment experience but he accidentally fell in love with the hospitality industry and the chances it offered to serve others and put a smile on their face. He changed his major and his focus to match his new purpose, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management. Before joining Vision in 2011, Reggie held positions as a general manager, regional director of operations, director of training and development, and brand training manager for Marriott. In his three decades in the hospitality industry, Reggie has developed a wealth of experience in hotel operations with a focus on training associates to exceed guest expectations associated with each hotel brand and developing future hotel management personnel.
Reggie is a recipient of the JW Marriott Award of Excellence and sits on the Board of Directors with Chattanooga State. Reggie is based out of Chattanooga, where he enjoys the progressive culture and outdoor activities that the city has to offer. When not in the office, Reggie enjoys traveling to new locations with his family.
Senior Vice President of Finance & Investments
As the Vice President of Finance & Investments, Andrew is responsible for the investment and capital markets activities for Vision Hospitality Group. Andrew develops the investment thesis for each project, including market research, site acquisition, concept testing, site planning, proforma modeling, franchise application and equity/debt financing. Andrew also negotiates and structures all operating agreements, management agreements and joint ventures agreements. He is also responsible for evaluating and executing on any acquisition opportunities, refinancings and dispositions.
Prior to joining Vision in 2010, he worked for the Raines Group, a Chattanooga-based Commercial Real Estate Brokerage. Earlier in his career, he worked as the Director of Operations for Jackson Hole Resort Lodging, the hospitality and property management arm of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Over the course of his career, he has sourced nearly one billion dollars in equity, mezzanine and senior debt financing for hospitality and mixed-use development projects.
Andrew earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science from Green Mountain College in 1991 and later earned his MBA in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics from the James A. Graaskamp Center for Real Estate at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. While at the University of Wisconsin, he taught undergraduate courses in real estate finance and interned in the development department at Great Wolf Resorts.
Senior Vice President of Development & Construction
Hiten is responsible for supervising all new development and pre-construction processes for Vision, including permitting, architectural and interior design review, and construction contracts. Together with the Director of Construction, he manages all on-site construction.
Before joining Vision in 2008, Hiten worked for Aventis Pharmaceuticals, where he began as an intern and was quickly promoted to a quality systems supervisory position. His responsibilities included planning, implementing and administering the quality assurance program, as well as ensuring that all operations were in compliance with governmental and companywide regulations. While supervising the construction of his first hotel in Downtown Chattanooga, Hiten attended the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga, and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry.
Vice President of Accounting
Arlene is the head of Vision’s accounting team, responsible for coordinating the efforts of the department and providing strategic financial leadership for Vision’s growing hotel portfolio.
Arlene has extensive experience in accounting, both inside and outside of the hospitality industry, and has managed the finances of manufacturers and consulting firms. Out of all the industries she had managed for, however, hospitality was the one that she found most interesting, and she has stayed inside the business since 2005. Prior to coming to Vision, Arlene served as corporate controller for HEI Hotels & Resorts for 11 years. During her tenure as their accounting leader, she supported the growth of the company by managing the company’s funds and joint ventures in addition to providing accounting oversight for the hotel management and investment companies. Arlene also previously served as assistant controller for The Willard Intercontinental Hotel in Washington, D.C.
Arlene earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire and holds a Master of Science Degree in Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University. Arlene is an avid supporter of animals and a member of the Liberty Train Animal Rescue Transport and Best Friends Animal Society groups.
Vice President of Revenue Optimization
As the Vice President of Revenue Optimization, Terry monitors transient and group business to maximize overall hotel revenue through the development and implementation of effective inventory and room pricing.
At the age of fifteen, Terry held his first job at a small ski slope in Ohio. It was during this time that his passion for hospitality sparked, and he decided he was going to, one day, manage ski resorts of his own. As a result, he attended the University of New Hampshire where he attained his Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Administration. While attending UNH, Terry gained experience working in local hotels that led to an opportunity to be the Area Director of Sales for Innkeepers Hospitality, now known as Island Hospitality. His transition to South Florida was a slight turn from ski resorts; however, it was in this capacity in which he built the foundation of his success in Revenue Optimization and Sales. Terry spent the next nine years mastering various positions within Innkeepers, from General Manager to Vice President of Revenue Management. In 2005, he accepted the position of Director of Hotel Sales and Revenue Management Support with Hilton Worldwide. Terry later joined Sonesta Hotels and Resorts, and then returned to Hilton Worldwide as the Senior Director of Sales and Revenue Management.
Terry’s accomplishments include, but are not limited to: creating the inventory management, pricing, e-channel distribution, and National Account strategies for over 60 hotels generating in excess of $100M annually, directing the sales efforts and marketing budgets of 25 extended-stay and focus serviced properties representing Marriott, Hilton, and Wyndham brand partners with over $60M in annual revenues, and accounting for the top line and market share performance for the portfolio of up to 103 hotels and $410M in revenues.
When not at the office, Terry and his family enjoy taking advantage of the great outdoors, whether hiking, kayaking, or biking. He is an advocate for the Boys Scouts, an organization in which he has devoted his time and expertise as a committee chair.
Vice President of Culture & Talent Resources
As the vice president of talent resources and risk management, O’Mally performs an important role in identifying new talent as Vision continues to grow. He also supports company leaders as they assist their associates in maximizing their full potential.
O’Mally’s career began in 1996 as the regional training specialist and LP agent for Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc. From this position, he transitioned into the hospitality industry where he gained experience as an assistant general manager and a rooms manager. He later became the regional director of human resources for Noble-Interstate Management where he supported a portfolio of hotels that employed over 3000 associates. His ability to successfully develop and implement strategies to identify and recruit employees led him to his next position as the human resources generalist in Charleston, TN which he held for two years. The Chattanoogan Hotel in Chattanooga, TN then offered him the position of human resources director. He spent the last three years revamping the hotel’s culture program, improving internal communications and community relations, and developing a new onboarding process. His work ethic and results earned him the Chattanoogan’s Rising Star award in 2016.
O’Mally enjoys traveling the world, reflecting his passion for meeting new people and learning about different cultures. He was born and raised in Mobile, AL and has acquired a talent for cooking and baking. He is involved in the community through service projects such as Chattanooga Clean and Green, and he serves as a member of the local and national Society for Human Resource Management.
Regional Vice President of Operations
Jeff oversees operations for Vision’s Greater Chattanooga properties. He works closely with the management teams at the properties in maintaining operating standards and executing daily procedures. Jeff acts as a liaison between the hotel general managers and the management company, where he is charged with not only upholding the hotel’s brand standards, but also maintaining Vision’s “hands on” culture at the property level.
Prior to joining Vision in 2010, Jeff worked with Jameson Inn hotels as Senior Regional Director of Operations. His duties included overseeing as many as 50 hotels in the Southeast. Jeff is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management. Jeff’s time in the hospitality industry has taught him to be creative in solving problems, as no two days are alike, but every day gives the opportunity to help someone, whether it be a guest, General Manager, or a coworker.
Jeff serves as the Vice President of Education on the board of the East Brainerd Chamber of Commerce. Jeff is involved with local Chattanooga schools on improvement projects as well as volunteering his time to prepare the students for interviewing, career options, and educating them on careers in hospitality. Jeff also volunteers his time with the Chattanooga Food Bank, American Heart Association, Habitat for Humanity and Toys for Tots in the Chattanooga area.
In his free time, Jeff and his wife enjoy hiking the trails of the Great Smokey Mountains and the amazing trails surrounding the Chattanooga area.
Regional Vice President of Operations
Tom Mischak joined Vision Hospitality Group in 2015 as Regional Vice President of Operations. Tom heads Vision’s most wide-spread region, with properties in Georgia, Colorado, North Carolina, and Texas. Tom provides support and communication from the home office to the properties under his direction.
Tom holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Purdue University and has been in the hospitality industry for 30 years. A self-described ‘people-person’, Tom loves taking care of the guests and building his team. Prior to joining Vision, Tom held numerous leadership roles, including General Manager and Regional Director. During his tenure as General Manager, Tom was recognized with his previous company’s highest “Triple Platinum Award”, awarded to the manager with the highest results across the entire hotel portfolio, and also received the “Platinum Award” and Most Improved “Moving the Needle Award.”
Tom loves spending time with his family, fishing, and visiting the beach. He is also a supporter of the Rookery Bay Reserve, which protects one of the few undisturbed mangrove estuaries left in North America.
Regional Director of Operations
As Regional Director of Operations, Patty oversees the Greater Nashville hotels of Vision’s growing portfolio. She works closely with the management teams at the properties to maintain operating standards and execute daily procedures.
Patty has been an instrumental leader with Vision Hospitality Group since 2012. A seasoned manager in the hotel business, she has held various positions including guest service manager, assistant general manager and training manager for the Courtyard and Residence Inn by Marriott brands, where she received the General Manager Sales Excellence award. Over her 25-year career in hospitality, Patty has managed 13 properties ranging from resort and full service hotels to limited service hotels as the revenue analyst for the Southeast Florida Marriott cluster. She managed the Hilton Garden Inn, Boca Raton for six years prior to joining Vision as the general manager for the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Chattanooga/Downtown. In her most recent role as general manager for the DoubleTree by Hilton Chattanooga/Downtown, Patty exceeded expectations and led the team to receive various industry recognitions.
Patty obtained a Bachelor of Arts and Humanities degree with a minor in Hospitality Management from Florida Atlantic University. Most recently, she was awarded the General Manager of the Year award from Vision Hospitality Group and led her hotel to earn the coveted Platinum Guest Service Award for the top 10% for guest service as compared to all DoubleTree by Hilton hotels. During her free time, Patty enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and teenage children. She is a member of the Chattanooga Women’s Leadership Institute and Greater Chattanooga Hospitality Association, where she was honored with the 2017 Stars of the Industry General Manager of the Year award.
Director of Engineering
Mark oversees Vision’s entire hotel portfolio, ensuring that measures are taken to maintain safe and clean properties for optimal guest experiences. He manages all chief engineers and directs Vision’s preventative maintenance program. For pipeline hotels, he is highly involved in ensuring brand standards and codes are met.
Mark is an experienced maintenance engineer with a specialized focus in hospitality. Since 1997, he has dedicated his time to the integral factors and legal requirements to preserve hotel safety and efficiency. For eight years, he served as the Assistant Corporate Director of Engineering for Westgate Resorts, focusing on preventative maintenance and remodeling for 19 corporate buildings, while overseeing each of the properties’ chief engineers. His most recent post prior to joining Vision was as Chief Engineer for a Courtyard by Marriott and Residence Inn, during which time he was responsible for department budgeting, overall property maintenance, loss prevention and capital assessments, among other duties.
Mark is a strong supporter of Habitat for Humanity, where he is able to use his skills and expertise to help those in need. Mark’s favorite part of working in the hospitality industry is having the opportunity to meet new people from all over the world. In his spare time, Mark enjoys playing the drums and going deep-sea fishing.
Director of Procurement
Peter has been with Vision since the company’s inception, bringing to the team a successful career in hospitality, backed by his degrees in electrical engineering and telecommunication. In 1982, he entered the hospitality industry as a hotel operator, and later joined Vision in its hotel development projects. As the Director of Procurement, Peter serves as a key associate in managing all furniture, fixtures, operating supplies and equipment.
Director of Food & Beverage
An industry veteran with over 30 years of hospitality experience, Michael oversees all areas of F&B, including operations, kitchen and bar design, and restaurant concepts.
The foundation of his success lies in his education from Johnson and Wales in Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management. Early in his career, he dedicated his talents to several country clubs, including Club Corporation of America South East and The Cliffs Golf and Country Clubs as well as the Spartanburg Country Club in Greenville, SC where he served as the Club Manager until 2004. During this time, Michael also served as a consultant for Atwood Architects in the area of kitchen design and operations.
In 2005, he joined JHM Hotels as the Corporate Director of Food & Beverage, where he oversaw 40 hotels of 14 different brands. In this role, he was responsible for the overall quality, evaluation and implementation of best practices, while mentoring associates through comprehensive culinary and service training programs he developed. During this time, he earned numerous awards for his achievements, including the Food & Beverage Excellence Award, Service Excellence Award, Global Event Management Awards for Leadership Excellence and Team Excellence from Marriott.In 2005, he joined JHM Hotels as the corporate director of food & beverage, where he oversaw 40 hotels of 14 different brands. The hospitality industry offers some unique challenges, but Michael enjoys the opportunities these challenges offer to pull all the moving parts together to exceed guest expectations every chance he gets.Most recently, Michael served as the Vice President of Food & Beverage for McKibbon Hotel Management, a post that oversaw 81 hotels with 14 hotel brands. He focused on all areas of operations, including the management of 78 hotel market/suite shops and advancing catering sales across the portfolio. In addition, he again applied his design expertise for 23 new construction hotels and 16 renovations to maximize profitability and productivity.
Outside of the workplace, Michael likes golfing, fishing, and visiting the beach. Michael and his family are active in their community with Metropolitan Ministries, an organization that houses the homeless, feeds the poor, and protects abused women and children.
Director of Beverage + Food, Boutique & Lifestyle Hotels
An industry leader with a track record of success in the hotel beverage and food arena, Anthony is in charge of concept creation, development, and operation of the bars, restaurants, catering, and events at all boutique and lifestyle hotels in Vision's portfolio.
Anthony began his career in the hospitality industry in his hometown of Chicago, where he led the bar, restaurant, and room service outlets at the Chicago Mart Plaza. During his tenure, the hotel’s bar was named the “Best Place To Meet After Work” by the Chicago Sun-Times. Following his success in that role, he assumed oversight of the hotel’s 25,000 square feet of meeting and event space. During this time Anthony also served as Co-Chairman of the Illinois Hotel & Lodging Association’s Under 30 Council and was a trainer for the opening team at Carnivale restaurant, which was named one of the “100 Hottest Restaurants” in the country by OpenTable.
He continued to grow his knowledge of hotel operations and food & beverage when he joined Vision Hospitality Group, serving as both a General Manager and a property Director of Food and Beverage for the company in prior roles. His hotel operations experience gives him a rare understanding of departmental interactions and the impact that food & beverage can have on the guest experience. As a Director of Food and Beverage for Vision, Anthony led 'UP, a rooftop lounge' to numerous accolades and the highest Yelp rating of any bar or lounge in Nashville’s upscale Gulch neighborhood.
Anthony has received several personal awards over his career, including 'Department Manager of the Year' from Vision Hospitality Group, 'Lodging Manager of the Year' from the Greater Nashville Hospitality Association, and Hotel Management Magazine's 'Thirty Under 30' award.
Personally and professionally, Anthony is an advocate for the creation of employment opportunities for individuals across the full physical, mental, and developmental spectrum and has collaborated with several organizations that work to further that cause: Next Steps at Vanderbilt University, Autism Tennessee, the Tennessee Council on Developmental Disabilities, and the Chattanooga Autism Center.
Ashley Ewing Parrott
Director of Brand Strategy, Boutique & Lifestyle Hotels
Ashley implements her discerning eye as she leads the sales and marketing, brand development, positioning, design, procurement, and vendor negotiations for Vision’s boutique and lifestyle brands. Her leadership at Vision Hospitality Group is instrumental in the company’s expansion into this unique segment of lodging.
Ashley attended the University of Memphis in Tennessee where she majored in Hospitality and Resort Management and minored in Marketing. Her professional journey began as a Sales Executive for Entercom Communications before transitioning to key account management for D. Canale Beverage Company. Ashley’s rapport with her customers led to a position in event coordination for Beale and Second Inc. where she managed corporate events on Memphis, Tennessee’s historic Beale Street. In August of 2011, Ashley opened her own event management firm where she planned functions ranging from 10 - 1,200 attendees and held annual contracts with Fortune 100 companies including International Paper, FedEx and ALSAC St. Jude. Ashley was recruited by Marriott International in early 2013 where she joined the company as an Area Sales Executive. In 2015, Ashley joined the Vision team to oversee the sales and marketing efforts for Vision’s first boutique hotel. Ashley quickly took on additional duties coordinating interior design, art procurement and branding for The Edwin Hotel and Vision’s subsequent boutique and lifestyle projects. Due to her success in this role, Ashley was promoted to the position of Director of Brand Strategy, Boutique and Lifestyle hotels.
Ashley is a graduate of Leadership Chattanooga’s Class of 2017, serves on the Executive Board of the Women’s Fund of Greater Chattanooga, the Marketing Committee for A Step Ahead Chattanooga and is a member of Chattanooga Women’s Leadership Institute. In her free time Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband, Strat, and their dog, Winston. Her passions include travel and design, and on weekends she can often be found digging through area estate sales or in her garage refurbishing antique furniture.
Regional Director of Revenue Management
Michael is responsible for the day-to-day revenue management for Vision’s Houston and Chattanooga hotels. As one of the three Regional Directors, he identifies new opportunities, implements revenue management procedures and best practices, and ensures the properties are exceeding service levels and operational standards.
Michael joined Vision Hospitality Group with extensive knowledge of full and select service hotels in both property operations and revenue management roles. He began his hospitality career with Tharaldson Lodging as the operations manager for the Residence Inn brand, and has since accumulated over 20 years of experience with Marriott and over 10 with Hilton and IHG brands. In a previous role as Marriott full service brands revenue manager with Remington Hotels, he oversaw a 1,810-room portfolio of Marriott and Renaissance hotels with annual budgeted revenue of $160 million. He has also led his teams to reach impressive goals in various capacities with John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts, Interstate Hotels & Resorts and Crestline Hotels & Resorts.
Michael holds his Certified Revenue Management Executive certification from the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International. He is a 7th generation Son of the Republic of Texas and divides his time between his home in Houston and Chattanooga. Not only is he an active member of the Episcopal church, but he is also involved in many philanthropic endeavors such as Adopt a Beach Texas, Wildlife Center of Texas, Episcopal Health Foundation, the Matagorda Historical Society and Clean and Green Chattanooga.
Regional Director of Revenue Management
Matthew oversees the revenue management for hotels primarily in the Atlanta region of Vision’s portfolio. He identifies new opportunities, implements revenue management procedures and best practices, and ensures the properties are exceeding service levels and operational standards.
Matthew and Vision’s roots trace back to the company’s beginning. In 1997, Matthew accepted the position of Front Desk Agent at the Homewood Suites Hamilton Place, where Vision Hospitality Group, Inc. was established later that same year. Matthew left the hotel business to pursue his education at Chattanooga State Technical Community College. Once he graduated with his IT Networking Certification in 2000, his passion for helping others inspired him to return to hospitality. He worked at various hotels in the Chattanooga area, forming many friendships with new guests and families during their stays. He transitioned to different departments, mastering the Front Desk, Sales and Operations. Matthew’s extensive experience and passion for a family-centered culture led him to join Vision as the General Manger for the Fairfield Inn & Suites Cleveland, TN. Three years later, he was welcomed to the Vision Home Office Team as the Corporate Revenue Manager, where he continued to exceed expectations. Due to his success in this role, Matthew was promoted to Regional Director of Revenue Management.
In his free time, Matthew stays busy raising a family of three children. They enjoy family camping trips, Chattanooga Mocs basketball games, swimming, biking and numerous outdoor activities. Matthew is also skilled in Meteorology. He is a certified SkyWarn Storm Spotter, and when there is inclimate weather in the area, he helps provide reports to the National Weather Service for any severe weather.
Director of Hotel Performance
As the director of hotel performance, Scott oversees and supports the operations of all new and transitioning properties in Vision’s portfolio. His duties include providing pre-opening support, mentoring property leadership, and providing interim management.
Scott joined Vision in 2008 as General Manager of the Fairfield Inn & Suites Cleveland, TN. In 2013, He transitioned to General Manager of the Hampton Inn Cleveland, TN, which he led to rank in the top six percent of the brand in guest service after its first year of operation. For his achievements, Scott was presented with the 2013 General Manager of the Year award by Vision. Scott has also been recognized by Hilton Worldwide, with 10 consecutive Wall of Fame Awards as well as a Lighthouse Award from the Hampton brand. Scott’s dedication further earned him the Hands-On Hamptonality Community Service Award from the Hampton Brand for his dedication to numerous community organizations, including Rotary International and the Cleveland Tennessee Chamber of Commerce, where he serves as the Vice Chairman of Travel and Tourism.
Regional Director of Sales and Marketing
Catherine leads the sales team and regional marketing initiatives for Vision’s growing hotel portfolio in the Greater Chattanooga area. Her experience and background in hospitality are instrumental as she coordinates and supports the team’s sales efforts to expand market share.
Catherine pursued an education at the University of Evansville with a focus in Liberal Studies and later graduated from Chapman University’s Hotel Management program. Her eighteen-year career in hospitality began with Oakwood Worldwide where she was essential in the relocation of the NFL’s Tennessee Titans and later collaborated on the acquisition of ExecuStay by Marriott. Catherine later moved to Hilton Hotels Corporation and focused on the extended stay segment. In this role, she built a relationship with FedEx and became Hilton’s highest revenue producing area director of sales. Due to her husband’s company relocations and her passion for the industry, she has had unique opportunities to take on various positions from coast to coast. She mastered the responsibilities of dual-general/regional manager for a collection of four and five star, full-service, boutique hotels in California and opened the 2nd new build Hyatt Place. Her expertise in corporate projects, operations, extended stay, and hotel openings were instrumental as she contributed in the re-imagination of the Sonesta ES Suites on the east coast. In addition to her Certified Meeting Professional and Corporate Travel Expert designations, she has earned recognitions such as Chamber Ambassador of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and Community Leader of the Year.
Catherine’s endeavors to make a difference in the world are demonstrated through her many affiliations and leadership roles in local and national organizations. She served on the Hospitality Tourism Board for Cuesta College as well as Stockton University. Catherine has dedicated years of service to the American Cancer Society where she was a board member for Relay for Life. Throughout her travels, she found time to coach youth soccer, and she most recently joined the Friends of Harrison Bay where she volunteers to promote environmental awareness of the state parks surrounding Chattanooga, TN.
When not excelling professionally and within the community, Catherine is an outdoors advocate. She enjoys visiting state parks where she hikes, bikes, kayaks, and paddle boards.
Regional Director of Sales and Marketing
Heather is the head of sales efforts for Vision’s Hotels located in Georgia, Texas, and North Carolina, coordinating and supporting the teams’ work to expand market share. Additionally, Heather takes the lead in identifying new potential accounts and building business relationships in her region.
Heather holds a degree in Hotel Management from the University of Alabama, and has over 18 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry. Heather began her career in the industry as a manager in training with the Renaissance Downtown Hotel during the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. Later she joined the sales team with the Ritz-Carlton Atlanta as Manager of Business Travel. Heather subsequently moved up through the company to become the Director of Business Travel and later the National Sales Manager of Group Sales. Heather joined the Vision Family in 2013 as the opening Director of Sales of the first Residence Inn in Vision’s portfolio. In 2014, Heather was promoted to Regional Director of Sales & Marketing and has since then made a tremendous impact in her region and within the company. Heather finds the most rewarding part about working in hospitality is the opportunity to meet new people every day.
Heather is a supporter of North Fulton Community Charities and is a devoted wife and mother. In her spare time, she loves to play tennis and travel.
Regional Director of Sales and Marketing
Tiffany is the head of sales efforts for Vision’s Greater Nashville and Midwest hotels, coordinating and supporting the teams’ work to expand market share. Additionally, Tiffany is charged with assisting in identifying new potential accounts and building a network of sales contacts for her team.
Tiffany has over eighteen years of experience in sales and events, both inside and outside of the hospitality industry. Her time in sales has covered a broad range of responsibilities and roles, from account manager to catering sales manager to regional director of sales. Tiffany has held positions in both Marriott and Hilton, rounding out her hospitality experience. Tiffany’s accomplishments include National Sales Account Manager of the Year for Residence Inn and Marriott’s Top Extended Stay Sales Occupancy for the Southwest Region award. Tiffany holds a degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management from Texas Tech University
Community and making a difference in the lives of others are very important to Tiffany, and it shows in her active support of charitable organizations myLIFEspeaks and Love for Kitui, which support communities in Haiti and Kenya.
Corporate Training & Development Manager
Jenelle is responsible for the management of all training initiatives, which includes maintaining and implementing Vision’s digital training program, Vision University. In addition, she designs and develops learning materials and curricula based on identified needs, ensuring that all training procedures are aligned with Vision’s core values and business objectives.
With over ten years of experience in the hospitality industry, Jenelle joined Vision as an expert in identifying, developing, and conducting unique training programs and professional courses. Jenelle studied Music Education at the University of Tennessee. Though she enjoyed her field of study, she was attracted to the interactive environment hospitality offered, and in 2006, she accepted a position with the Sheraton Read House Hotel, a 241 room historic hotel located in the heart of downtown Chattanooga, TN. Within the Read House, she transitioned to several management positions in which she facilitated numerous training sessions that enhanced company culture and best practices. Jenelle’s passion to help others become stronger workers then led her to accept her most previous position as Training and Development Manager for Stokely Hospitality Enterprises, one of East Tennessee’s largest employers in the hospitality industry.
In her free time, Jenelle enjoys working on her personal goal to complete a hike of every established trail in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park.
As the Development Manager, Mark plans, coordinates, and oversees several of Vision’s development and re-development projects.
Mark joined Vision with an extensive professional background in category management, supplier relationship management, quality assurance, and quality control. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree with a focus in Accounting from the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga. With this education, he proceeded to explore a career in development as a co-owner of M&B Contracting Services. Mark’s impressive aptitude in the industry led him to transition through several positions throughout the next decade, allowing him to gain experience in negotiating national contracts, implementing industrial vending solutions, and managing development projects with a budget of up to $170M.
When not at the office or job site, Mark will often be seen kayaking, mountain biking, camping, and, on his riskier whims, skydiving. His passion for development is not limited to his work week as he regularly volunteers with Habitat for Humanity on the weekends.
Communications & Community Relations Manager
Emily is responsible for corporate branding, internal and external communications, and social responsibility initiatives. She advises and assists on media relations and communication for all Vision hotels, and she also coordinates the numerous community service projects Vision participates in due to Community being one of the seven Vision Values the team strives to embody.
Emily recently graduated from Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, TN where she earned her Business Administration degree with a concentration in Marketing. It was during her college career that she was given the opportunity to hold several communications and marketing positions within the university’s Office of Admissions. While still pursuing her degree, she became the head of project implementation and sales for Talon Creative Marketing Agency where she gained further experience in project management. Emily also assisted in the development and coordination of all marketing materials, public relations events, and sales for the Tennessee Tech Sports Marketing Department. After graduating Cum Laude, she held the position of Solutions Specialist for Verizon Wireless, mastering customer relations and sales.
Emily’s passion for the community is deeply rooted and led her on a mission trip to Costa Rica, along with volunteering nearly 100 hours to maintaining state parks in her area. During her free time, she enjoys participating in as many outdoor activities as the weather permits as well as local music and art festivities.
Personal Assistant to Mitch Patel
Mary has been a loyal associate with Vision as the Executive Assistant to Mitch Patel, providing administrative support for the CEO and oversight over all office operations, including new development entity management, associate payroll, partner relations, banking and financial record-keeping. Most importantly, she strives to provide each of Vision’s properties with the dedicated service and personal attention they require.
After 16 years in banking, Mary entered the hospitality industry as a Night Auditor for a Hampton Inn in 1996 and later became a Front Office Manager with ZMC Hotels. In 2005, she joined the Vision team as the General Manager of a Hampton Inn that was previously managed by the company.
